Afghan Baluchi Prayer Rug

Baluchi prayer rugs are the dark, densely knotted tribal textiles woven by semi-nomadic Baluch women across the borderlands of Afghanistan and Iran. Each sajjādeh carries a single mihrab arch pointing toward Mecca, a tree-of-life rising from the niche, and concentric borders packed with tribal gul medallions and running-dog patterns.

The palette reads nearly black at a distance — until direct light unlocks plum, indigo, oxblood, and camel tan from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool. This design system translates that intimate, devotional darkness into digital surfaces: deep plum grounds, geometric tribal borders, and the warm irregularity of abrash color variation.

俾路支祈祷毯是阿富汗与伊朗交界的俾路支半游牧部落妇女手织的深色高密度部落织物。每块萨贾达（sajjādeh）都有一个指向麦加的米哈拉布拱形壁龛、从壁龛底部升起的生命之树，以及层层嵌套的部落古尔纹章与奔犬纹边饰。

配色在远处近乎全黑——只有在阳光直射下，手纺天然染料羊毛才会显露梅紫、靛蓝、牛血红与骆驼棕。本设计系统将这种私密的、虔诚的暗色美学转化为数字界面：深梅紫底色、几何部落边框，以及天然染料特有的 abrash 色带不规则感。
