Yule Solstice

Yule is the pre-Christian Norse Jól, the midwinter solstice — the longest, darkest night held back by candle and the slow burning of the Yule log. Its living color is the deep pine and fir green of evergreen boughs set against near-total darkness, lit by returning-sun gold, holly-berry red, and snow-silver.

This design system distills that austere midwinter rite into digital form — evergreen-night grounds, carved runic and old-world serif type, eight-spoke solar wheels, and the warm, low glow of candlelight against the dark.

尤尔（Yule）即前基督教时代的北欧仲冬节庆 Jól——一年中最长、最暗的冬至之夜，唯有烛火与缓缓燃烧的尤尔木（Yule log）将黑暗逼退。它的生命之色，是常青松杉枝叶那深沉的针叶绿，映衬于近乎全然的黑暗之中，再以归返之日的金色、冬青浆果的红、与积雪银白点亮。

本设计系统将这一肃穆的仲冬古礼转化为数字语言——常青夜色的底，刻凿般的卢恩文与旧世界衬线字，八辐的太阳轮，以及烛火在黑暗中那低沉而温暖的微光。它属于长夜，而非节庆橱窗的喧哗。
