About Windows 95
Windows 95 as it shipped in August 1995: a teal desktop filling a VGA CRT, silver window chrome sitting on it, a solid navy title bar with white type, and a taskbar along the bottom edge with the Start button raised at its left end.
Every colour comes from the 16-colour system palette. All depth comes from a single 1px bevel, light on the top and left, dark on the bottom and right. Buttons, wells, frames and scrollbars all use it. Nothing is blurred, rounded or animated. Pressing a control flips its bevel inward in a single frame.
