Univers is the first typeface designed as a coordinated system: 21 numbered styles set on a matrix where the first digit fixes weight and the second fixes width. Its canonical specimen is stark Swiss achromatic — black type on a systematic grid with a single red cell at the center.
This theme inverts that specimen into a dark ground. The numbered schema, the flush-left rigor and the lone signal-red mark survive intact; only the polarity turns. Everything snaps to the modular matrix, and grey does the quiet work.
