About Petrykivka Folk Painting
Petrykivka is Ukrainian decorative folk painting: feathery fingertip brushstroke flowers, viburnum berries, and stylised birds blooming in vivid natural-pigment colour. Its Soviet-era convention placed these bouquets on a black-lacquer varnished ground, where saturated reds, greens, and yellows glow like enamel.
This design system translates that tradition to the screen — a deep black-lacquer page, cherry-juice and grass-green pigments, hand-painted brush fonts, and symmetrical radiating bouquet composition. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013.
