About 12 Monkeys
12 Monkeys is Terry Gilliam's 1995 plague-future: a crushed-black underground of jury-rigged pipework, plexiglass interrogation spheres, and salvage junk, all lit by sickly fluorescent green tubes. The palette is a desaturated cyan-steel future gone bilious — muted yellow-greens, institutional teal, grey-green steel, and sodium-vapor gold pooling against deep shadow.
This system translates that retro-industrial bricolage into interface form: green-tinged concrete grounds, stenciled typewriter graffiti, riveted panel edges, and harsh fluorescent green light that decays into grime at every margin. Nothing is clean; everything is salvaged, worn, and improvised.
