Tourmaline Crystal Slice distills the polished cross-section of watermelon tourmaline — a manganese-pink rubellite core ringed by a chromium-green verdelite rind — as it appeared in Max Bauer's 1896 Edelsteinkunde. The specimen rests on black gem-tray velvet, the documented dark presentation ground of the period gem plate.

Concentric mineral bands, engraved litho line work, tissue-guarded plate sheen, and restrained Garamond serifs translate that scientific-jewel aesthetic into a dark, jewel-toned digital system.

«水晶切片»取材于西瓜碧玺（钾锂电气石）的抛光横截面——锰致玫粉色的红碧玺内核，外裹一圈铬铁致绿的绿碧玺环带——正如它在马克斯·鲍尔 1896 年《宝石学》（莱比锡）彩色石印图版中所呈现的那样。标本陈列于黑色宝石托盘绒布之上，这正是当年宝石图版考据有据的深色呈现底色。
