The tongkonan is the ancestor-house of the Toraja people — a boat-shaped saddleback roof lifted onto ironwood stilts, its gable facade densely carved in the four sacred colors of pa'ssura: red ochre, soot black, lime-paste white, and turmeric yellow. Every panel encodes lineage, status, and cosmological orientation.
This design system translates the tongkonan's material vocabulary into digital interfaces: soot-black grounds evoking dusk over a Tana Toraja ridge, red ochre panel accents, carved-line borders, and the warm tonal ladder of bamboo bark, ironwood, and buffalo horn.
