Tuscan Terracotta

Tuscan terracotta is the colour of fired earth: weathered Impruneta cotto roof tiles, aged orange-brown and shadowed, laid in overlapping courses over pietra serena farmhouse walls. Authentic cotto, kilned in the hills south of Florence since 1098, reads as genuine clay — deeper and more shaded than postcard orange, never off-white stucco.

This system distils that vernacular into Brunello and Chianti browns, stone gray, olive-cypress green, and sun ochre. Humanist Italian serifs carry the type. The ground is saturated fired clay; ornament is tile-course rhythm, arched openings, and rough stone coursing.

托斯卡纳赤陶是泥土经火淬炼的颜色：风化的因普鲁内塔陶瓦，呈陈年橙褐、带着阴影，层层叠瓦地铺在佩特拉·塞雷纳石材的农舍墙上。地道的 cotto 自 1098 年起就在佛罗伦萨以南的丘陵窑场烧制，读来是真实的黏土——比明信片上的橙色更深、更含蓄，绝非灰白灰泥。

本设计系统将这一乡土传统提炼为布鲁奈罗与基安蒂的棕调、石灰岩灰、橄榄柏绿与托斯卡纳阳光的赭黄。字体采用人文主义意大利衬线，承载它温润的叙事气质。底色是饱和的火烧黏土；装饰来自叠瓦的节奏、拱形门洞与粗砺的石材砌缝——温暖、厚重、历久弥新。
