About Bohus Stickning
Bohus Stickning put knitting needles in the hands of stonecutters' wives in 1939 and, over thirty years, turned relief work into the finest colourwork Sweden has made. Angora-blend yarn, a very fine gauge, up to five colours in a single row, purl stitches set inside the pattern so the hues bleed together.
The system inherits that discipline: a dense band of small stepped motifs across the top, and below it an unbroken calm field. Colour arrives in discrete rows, never in a smooth ramp, and every edge carries a halo.
