About Sucre White City
Sucre is called La Ciudad Blanca because its building rules have kept the historic centre lime-washed white for nearly five centuries. The palette is four real materials and a sky: whitewashed stucco, hand-thrown clay tile, dark timber balconies, near-black joinery, and the saturated blue you only get at 2,800 metres.
The system reads like a street in the old grid: long white spans, openings spaced on a strict rhythm, hard eave shadows, inscriptional capitals on plaques, and Spanish set properly — accents and ñ included.
