Silent Running

Silent Running (1972) is Douglas Trumbull's elegiac vision of a future where Earth's last forests survive only in geodesic biodomes aboard the freighter Valley Forge. Its look is the dark, riveted spacecraft hull that makes the living-forest dome glow electric green, framed by weathered NASA-beige hardware and industrial stencil decals.

This system translates that contrast into an interface language: a near-black hull ground, a single glowing forest green, and beaten beige metal. Type is geometric Futura-clone and industrial stencil — utilitarian, grease-pencil honest, never ornate.
