Sikkim Monastery Murals

Rumtek, the principal Kagyu gompa of Sikkim, holds a shrine hall of crimson-lacquered pillars, gilt detailing, and golden spires, its walls covered in mineral-pigment Vajrayana murals. The atmosphere is butter-lamp-lit and saturated: cinnabar reds, azurite blues, malachite greens, and coral oranges drawn from documented Himalayan pigment palettes.

This design system distills that maximalist devotional interior into digital form — a deep crimson-maroon ground, gilt-gold ornament, mandala symmetry, and lotus-throne framing, with gold dragons and brocade banners completing the densely ornamented shrine-hall vocabulary.

仁布庆寺（Rumtek）是锡金噶举派的主寺，其大殿立着朱漆描金的柱子与金顶飞檐，墙面满布矿物颜料绘成的金刚乘壁画。殿内为酥油灯所照，色彩浓饱：朱砂红、石青蓝、石绿与珊瑚橙，皆取自记载中的喜马拉雅矿物颜料谱系。

本设计系统将这一极繁的礼拜殿堂转译为数字语言——以深绛红漆为底，以鎏金为饰，辅以坛城对称、莲座框景，金龙与织锦经幡环绕，构筑层层叠叠、密不透风的庙堂界面，敬献给金刚乘绘画的虔诚传统。
