About Playdate

Playdate is a small yellow handheld with a crank on its side and a screen that only knows two colours. Panic's 400×240 Sharp Memory LCD shows near-black pixels on a reflective silver-grey, so every game, menu and score is drawn in 1-bit and shaded with dither patterns.

This system puts that grey screen at the centre of the page and lets the yellow body work as the frame: flat bands, chunky ink outlines, Silkscreen for on-screen text, Space Grotesk for the copy around it, and one purple accent for the buy button.
