Nirvana's *Nevermind* (1991) is the defining grunge moment: a chlorinated pool-aqua field with an underwater baby reaching for a dollar bill on a fishhook. Art-directed by Robert Fisher and shot by Kirk Weddle, the cover fused saturated aqua water, warm photographic skin tone, and DIY counterculture sneer.
The system carries that exact contrast forward — pool-aqua-blue as the dominant ground, cream skin as warmth, dollar-gold as accent, and grunge hand-lettering as the renegade voice against polished mainstream design.
