On July 19, 1979, the Sandinista Front marched into Managua and ignited one of Latin America's most prolific political silkscreen movements. Under Ernesto Cardenal's Ministry of Culture, workshop printers produced tens of thousands of two-color posters — blood-red over jet-black on cheap newsprint — for literacy campaigns, anti-Contra mobilization, and revolutionary celebration.
This design system captures that raw silkscreen discipline: flat color blocks, halftone dot-matrix portraits, hand-cut stencil typography, and the iconic Sandino sombrero silhouette. Every surface feels like a freshly pulled print with visible ink bleed and registration imperfection.
