About NASCAR Stock Car
Late-1970s NASCAR stock cars were rolling billboards. Door-number numerals stood three feet tall, sponsor decals stacked from quarter panel to spoiler, and the livery screamed in Petty blue, STP Day-Glo red, and sponsor yellow against speedway tarmac.
This system borrows that loudness wholesale: oversized numerals as hero furniture, diagonal swoosh stripes raked left-to-right for speed, contingency-patch tags, and a glossy vinyl-decal finish. No restraint, no whitespace worship — just high-contrast all-American livery.
