About Padshahnama Court Scene
The Windsor Padshahnama is a state record that happens to be beautiful. Its folios are burnished buff paper, margins painted with gold arabesque drawn by hand at hairline weight, enclosing an audience field worked in watercolour over white ground until the surface reads like enamel.
This system takes its rules from that page. Gilded khaki ground, plum and shell gold, ruled rectangles instead of soft frames, no shadow anywhere. Hierarchy is stated the way a darbar states it: one element raised alone, the rest ranked in horizontal bands beneath.
