Book of Kells Celtic (800)

The Book of Kells is the supreme achievement of Insular illumination — 340 folios of interlace knotwork, zoomorphic initials, and carpet pages rendered in lapis, vermilion, orpiment, and gold on vellum. This design system translates that monumental sacred-manuscript vocabulary into digital surfaces: every border is a knot, every accent is a jewel pigment, and the page itself breathes with the warm cream of calfskin parchment.
