Lepidoptera Drawer

Lepidoptera Drawer recreates the glass-topped collection drawer of a 19th-century entomology cabinet: rows of pinned nocturnal moths set in aged cork, their cryptic brown-grey wing scales catching the dim raking light of a specimen store. Everything sits against near-black stained walnut — never bright, never plain white. Tiny hand-numbered pin labels in fine serif and typed catalog numbers carry the ordered hush of a systematic collection, where each compartment is its own dark little world and every specimen is precisely placed and recorded.
