Casa Azul — the Blue House at Londres 247, Coyoacán — is the most chromatically saturated artist-house in twentieth-century Mexico. Diego Rivera codified its cobalt-blue exterior in the 1930s; inside, Frida Kahlo filled courtyard and rooms with terracotta pots, marigold beds, pre-Hispanic stone idols, papel-picado banners, retablo ex-votos, and Tehuana embroidery.
This design system translates that courtyard-at-golden-hour atmosphere into digital surfaces: dominant cobalt walls, cream content panels, terracotta tile accents, bougainvillea magenta, jade-leaf green. Typography mixes Frida's hand-letter diary energy with refined Garamond body text. Every element feels like sun-warmed lime plaster, fired clay, and cut paper — never corporate, never sanitized.
