Metal Gear Solid Codec — Cover

About Metal Gear Solid Codec

The Codec is the radio-call screen of Metal Gear Solid, the 1998 PlayStation game Hideo Kojima made at Konami Computer Entertainment Japan. Every briefing, hint and confession in the game plays out on it: two green portrait windows facing each other across a black screen, with a frequency like 140.85 glowing between them.

This system keeps that layout. Black stays black, the one bright green is saved for live data, and light-grey Arimo subtitles do the talking.
