Wau Bulan Moon Kite

The wau bulan is the crescent moon-kite of Kelantan, Malaysia — a bamboo frame skinned in colored tissue and dressed in lacy floral-and-vine cut-paper overlays. Museum pieces show a dark purple ground edged in green piping, with symmetric leaf scrollwork and sunburst foliage in green, red, gold and pink.

This design system distills that craft into digital form: a deep purple field, emerald border piping, and densely layered ornament that radiates symmetrically from a center, the way paste-on foliage climbs a kite's wings.

哇澳布兰（wau bulan）是马来西亚吉兰丹州的「新月风筝」——竹骨蒙上彩色绵纸，再贴满蕾丝般的花藤剪纸叠层。博物馆藏品呈现深紫色纸地、翠绿描边的镶饰，对称的叶形卷草与放射状日芒叶饰，由绿、红、金、粉四色交织而成。

本设计系统将这门手艺转化为数字语言：深紫底色、翡翠绿描边镶饰、层层叠压的密实纹样，自中心向两翼对称放射——一如贴纸花藤攀附风筝双翼的姿态。庄重、华美，且严格对称。
