Born as MyTeksi in 2012 and rebranded after swallowing Uber's Southeast Asian operation in 2018, Grab's visual system — designed with DesignStudio London — distills a six-country superapp into one unmistakable hue, matte surfaces, and dashboard-dense cards that serve drivers, merchants, and digital-wallet first-timers equally.
The design is daylight-first, typography-heavy on numbers (fares, ETAs, prices), and grounded in real photography of real riders and hawker stalls rather than illustration. It feels operational, trustworthy, and warm — a rainy Tuesday evening with the map updating in real time.
