Kumamon — Cover

About Kumamon

Kumamon is the black bear Kumamoto Prefecture introduced in 2010 for the Kyushu Shinkansen opening. Manabu Mizuno of good design company drew him from a handful of circles: round head, round ears, wide white eyes, two red cheeks.

This system keeps that construction. A pure white page, one near-black for the figure, one official red for cheeks, headings and buttons, a small yellow for news labels. Everything is round, flat and spaced out so the bear can do the talking.
