Klezmer Revival

ProMax

Klezmer is the wedding-band music of Ashkenazi Jewry — clarinet, violin and tsimbl carrying joy and lament through the shtetls of Eastern Europe and into the immigrant halls of America. Its 1920s 78rpm peak is the visual anchor: deep Prussian night, warm lamp-gold, oxblood folk ornament and hand-lettered Yiddish set against Art-Deco-era display serifs.

This system keeps the ground night-blue, never cream. Light is warm and lamplit, ornament is folk-handmade, and the mood holds both celebration and melancholy. It speaks to diaspora memory, not nation-state branding — Prussian indigo and brass, not flag turquoise.
