Todo Bichig, the Oirat "clear script," was cut by the monk-scholar Zaya Pandita in 1648 to fix the ambiguities of older Mongolian writing. Its world is soot-ink brushwork in narrow vertical columns, running top-to-bottom and advancing left-to-right across cool aged rag paper.

This system carries that manuscript discipline into the screen: near-black ink on greyish paper, thin controlled strokes, and sparing ochre or cinnabar rubrics reserved for titles. Restraint is the whole voice — the page reads as a scholar's leaf, not a poster.
