Jungle / Drum & Bass

Jungle is the look of the 1992–95 UK rave flyer: black, photocopied and screen-printed, dense with graffiti edges and camouflage ink. High-velocity chopped breakbeats and sub-bass made visual — fluorescent neon green that only reads against a black ground, shouted in heavy condensed type.

Born from pirate radio, ragga and sound-system culture, the aesthetic is raw and aggressive: misregistered ink, photocopier grain, warning strips and stacked maximal lettering. Never paper, never polished — always the black flyer field lit by saturated neon.
