Zsolnay eosin is the iridescent ceramic glaze perfected by chemist Vince Wartha around 1893 at the Zsolnay manufactory in Pécs, Hungary. Its deep-green surface is never flat — as light moves across it, the glaze flashes metallic gold, ruby-red and violet, the signature lustre of Hungarian Secession.
This system lives on that glaze. Backgrounds are the saturated dark eosin ground, type is engraved classical-revival lettering, and ornament follows the whiplash floral curves of Art Nouveau. Nothing here is matte or paper-white — every surface should read as glossy fired ceramic catching the light.
