Tea Tin (Twinings 1837)

Twinings has poured tea from the same shop on London's Strand since 1706, holds a Royal Warrant dating to 1837, and carries a wordmark in continuous use since 1787 — one of the oldest unaltered logos in the world. Its packaging language is the japanned tea caddy: dark iron-green metal, matte gold leaf serif lettering, and a heraldic lion-and-unicorn crest.

This system distills that caddy into screen form — a dark japanned-green ground, matte heritage gilt, refined English serifs, and engraved capitals. The reading ground is always the tin, never cream.

Twinings 自 1706 年起便在伦敦河岸街（Strand）的同一家店铺售茶，1837 年获得皇室御用许可（Royal Warrant），其字标自 1787 年沿用至今——是世上最古老且从未更改的商标之一。它的包装语言来自“漆面茶叶罐”：深铁绿色金属罐身、哑光金箔衬线字母，以及狮子与独角兽的纹章盾徽。

本设计系统将这只茶叶罐转译为数字语言——深漆绿底色、哑光传统鎏金、典雅的英式衬线字体与雕刻般的大写字母。阅读的底色永远是这只深色锡罐，绝非米白或纯白。盾徽、金线分隔、带框标签与衬线主品牌字组共同营造出一种历经百年的英伦贵气。
