Vexillology Flag Design

Vexillology is the study of flags, and its modern internet-era form treats flag design as a teachable discipline rather than heraldic accident. The five principles of NAVA's "Good Flag, Bad Flag" guide everything: keep it simple, use meaningful symbolism, two or three basic colours, no lettering or seals, and be distinctive. This system presents flat saturated colour fields against a clean dark studio grid — proportion guides, iconic charges, and nothing superfluous. It is the aesthetic of the design-principle diagram itself.
