Film Noir Chiaroscuro

ProMax

Film Noir Chiaroscuro is the surface of a 35mm black-and-white frame from 1947 — an inky low-key field broken only by hard, selective key light. There is no paper here, no ink on stock: only exposed silver-gelatin shadow and the silvery bright of light thrown across film.

Built from Out of the Past, The Lady from Shanghai, and Kiss of Death, it speaks in dramatic serif title cards, striped venetian-blind shadow, cigarette haze, and steep falloff into black. Strictly grayscale, never warm — the drama is all contrast.
