Filipino Narra Hardwood

Filipino narra hardwood furniture, made from the country's national tree (Pterocarpus indicus), defined mid-century heritage craft across the Philippines from 1950 to 1990. Its heartwood ranges golden-yellow to reddish-brown with interlocked, sometimes wavy grain and a high natural luster, hand-polished to a warm reddish-amber glow.

This design system distills that polished narra surface into digital form — deep reddish-brown wood grounds, honeyed amber grain, and woven-rattan tan inlay used sparingly as accent. Warm serif typography carries the grounded, heritage-craft voice of the butaka-chair tradition.

菲律宾紫檀（narra）硬木家具取材于菲律宾国树紫檀（Pterocarpus indicus），在 1950 至 1990 年间定义了菲律宾的中世纪传承工艺。其心材色泽由金黄渐变至红棕，纹理交错、偶现波浪状，自带高度光泽，经手工抛光后焕发温暖的红琥珀色光晕。

本设计系统将这层抛光紫檀的质感转译为数字语言——深红棕的木质底色、蜜糖琥珀的木纹，以及作为点缀、克制使用的藤编棕色镶嵌。温暖的衬线字体承载着躺椅（butaka）传统中那份沉稳的传承工艺气质。
