Wool Felting

ProMax

Wool felting is the nomadic Central Asian craft of matting raw sheep fleece under heat, moisture, and pressure — fulling it into a dense, hairy cloth. In its natural undyed state the surface reads as warm oatmeal-to-stone gray, the color of the fleece itself.

This design system distills that tactile, pre-industrial material into a quiet interface: a warm felt ground, taupe and fleece-brown roles, humanist serifs, and soft compressed-fiber edges with no hard geometry.
