Ethiopian Turquoise Silver

Highland Ethiopian and Harari adornment pairs raw robin's-egg turquoise beadwork and enamel with oxidized, blackened highland silver and leather cord. The bright stone reads against dark patinated metal — a brilliant cyan-turquoise lifting off gunmetal and tobacco leather.

This design system distills that contrast into screen: a dark oxidized-silver ground inset with rows of vivid turquoise cabochons, bright silver borders, and the granulated, cruciform vocabulary of Horn-of-Africa silversmiths.
