Ethiopian Hide Shield

ProMax

Ethiopian Hide Shield distills the parade shields of the Horn of Africa — discs cut from hippo, ox, or rhino hide, oiled and pounded into a burnished russet-brown face embossed with concentric rings around a raised central cone. The surface is the cured hide itself: heavy dark-brown leather under a deep aged patina and a beeswax sheen.

This system carries that craft into the screen — a russet-to-near-black ground, embossed ring relief, and warm amber highlights that read as oiled-leather light, never gilding.
