El Chavo del Ocho — Cover

About El Chavo del Ocho

One courtyard, built on a Televisa soundstage in 1971, has been on Latin American television almost every day since. Ochre plaster walls with an oxide-red dado, grey flagstones, brown numbered doors, a wooden barrel in the patio — and over it a flat yellow title card outlined in orange-red.

This system treats that set as a layout. The dado band is a horizontal rule a third of the way up any surface, numerals live on door plates, headlines sit in thick outlined blocks, and every panel is painted wood or chipped plaster rather than glass.
