Egyptian Faience

Egyptian faience is a self-glazing quartz ceramic colored by copper into a vibrant turquoise-blue, immortalized in the scarab amulets that pharaohs wore into the afterlife. As the paste dried, a glassy alkaline glaze migrated to the surface and pooled darker in the carved grooves, giving each amulet its luminous skin and shadow.

This design system distills that glaze into digital form — a deep teal-turquoise ground with grooved shadow depth, brighter copper-turquoise highlights, and an authentic Egyptian-blue accent. Glassy, pharaonic, and dark: never cream.

埃及费昂斯（faience）是一种自釉石英陶，铜元素令其呈现鲜亮的青绿色，被制成圣甲虫护身符随法老长眠。陶坯干燥时，玻璃般的碱性釉层迁移至表面，并在雕刻的凹槽中积聚得更深，赋予每件护身符发光的釉肌与幽暗的沟影。

本设计系统将这层釉色转译为数字语言——以深青绿釉作底，凹槽处沉淀出阴影深度，辅以更明亮的铜青绿高光与一抹正宗的埃及蓝。玻璃质感、法老气派、深邃幽暗：绝不用米白。
