Droog — Cover

About Droog

Droog started in Amsterdam in 1993, when Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers took a handful of odd, cheap-looking objects to the Milan furniture fair: bare bulbs bunched on their cords, salvaged drawers held together with a strap, a chair made of rags.

This system keeps the catalogue the way they did it: white space, one object per frame, black text, short grey captions, and a yellow highlight only when something is selected. The objects carry the jokes. The type keeps a straight face.
