Dogon Bandiagara Cliff Mask

ProMax

Born from the sandstone cliffs of Mali's Bandiagara Escarpment, this design system channels the Dogon mask-carving tradition — tall rectangular forms, rough adze textures, and the sacred Kanaga cross motif. The palette draws from cliff dust, kaolin pigment, indigo cowrie strings, and charred wood.

Every surface feels hand-cut rather than machine-polished, honoring the blacksmith-sculptor lineages who shape masks for Dama funerary rites performed on dust-orange plazas beneath 150 kilometers of vertical sandstone.
