Cramer Exotic Moths

Pieter Cramer's *De uitlandsche Kapellen* (1779) rendered exotic moths as life-size hand-coloured copperplate engravings, with Gerrit Lambertz applying each wash by hand. Warm sienna and tan scaling, purplish eyespots, and cream-buff margins glow against a deep near-black ground.

This system distils that cabinet-of-curiosities plate into a digital language: pinned specimens in formal rows, engraved hairlines, hand-coloured washes, and old-style serif captions — precise, jewel-like, and lit like a collector's display drawer.

彼得·克拉默的《域外蝶蛾图谱》（1779 年）以等大的手工上色铜版雕刻呈现异域蛾类，每一抹色彩由格里特·兰伯茨亲手晕染。温暖的赭石与棕褐鳞片、紫调眼斑、奶油米黄的翅缘，在近乎漆黑的展示底色上熠熠生辉，宛如珍奇柜中最精密、最珠光的一页。

本设计系统将这一西欧珍奇柜图版转译为数字语言：标本以正式行列钉列陈放，铜版细线勾勒，手工水彩晕染，配以 18 世纪雕版风格的老式衬线题注。底色刻意采用近黑的展板色，绝不使用奶油纸或纯白——一切都如收藏抽屉中的标本，被精准而温暖地照亮。
