Central African Azande Throne

ProMax

The Azande kingdoms of the Mbomou river basin produced a material culture of extraordinary density — every surface of a throne stool, granary board, or court harp carved and burned with concentric circles, zigzag rows, and dot fields. This design system channels that pyrogravure intensity: dark palm-oil wood grounds, brass inlay accents, and court red punctuation, all wrapped in geometric border patterns that leave no surface unmarked.
