Cambodian Krama Check

The krama is Cambodia's national all-purpose scarf — a plain-weave cotton cloth woven in simple gingham checks, traditionally madder-red or indigo crossing an undyed off-white ground. It is everyday cloth: headwrap, towel, sling, and identity marker. Its design language is the woven grid itself.

This system translates that humble functional textile into a digital design vocabulary — a saturated madder-red dyed-cloth ground, off-white cotton grid lines, overlapping red and indigo bands, and sturdy utilitarian type. Plain, matte, woven, and strictly orthogonal.

克罗码（krama）是柬埔寨的国民万用方巾——以平纹棉布织成简单的格纹，传统上在未染色的米白底布上交织茜草红或靛蓝条带。它是日常之物：头巾、毛巾、背带，也是身份的标记，其设计语言就是织物本身的方格网。

本设计系统将这块朴实的功能性织物转译为数字语言——饱和的茜草红染布底色、米白棉线格栅、交叠的红与靛蓝条带，以及结实耐用的实用主义字体。一切都是平面的、哑光的、织造的，且严格正交。
