Yathra is the thick, naturally-dyed yak-and-sheep wool twill hand-woven on backstrap and pedal looms in Bumthang, the highland heart of central Bhutan. A dark brown-maroon striped ground carries supplementary-weft bands of diamonds, eight-pointed stars, yungdrung (swastikas), long-life vases, and lucky knots — motifs drawn straight from Bhutanese Buddhist iconography.
This system renders that highland loom logic in digital form: a deep brown-maroon wool ground, a signature cyan-green diamond band, and gold-yellow, pink, and maroon supplementary-weft stripes, all locked into disciplined horizontal bands with a heavy, matte, twill-woven texture rather than any printed or glossy fill.
