About Autonomous Cargo Ship Bridge
A cargo ship with nobody on the bridge still has a bridge — it is just onshore, in a dark room in Horten where operators watch several hulls at once on a wall of K-Bridge consoles. Everything you see here is inherited from that room rather than invented for it.
The near-black ground is IEC 62288 night mode, not a mood board decision: a bright display would wreck the watchkeeper's dark adaptation. Orange is not a brand accent either — S-52 assigns it to the cursor, navigational information and alerts. Colour carries meaning first.
