Assam Muga Silk & Gamosa

ProMax

Muga is the undyeable "golden silk" of Assam — a naturally amber-tan fibre with a high glossy sheen, praised in the Arthashastra as being "of the colour of butter." Woven on Sualkuchi handlooms into ceremonial cloth and the red-bordered gamosa, it pairs a lustrous saturated gold ground with crimson lac-dyed kingkhap end-bands.

This design system distills that warm, opulent Bihu textile into digital form — a saturated golden silk ground, crimson woven borders, and floral kingkhap motif strips, gold throughout rather than pale.
