80s Aerobics Fluoro Spandex

This is the look of the early-80s aerobics boom — the moment the mirrored studio and the suburban living room became a fluorescent stage. Jane Fonda's Workout (1982) put neon spandex on every VHS shelf, and the visual language followed: dayglo lime, clashing Memphis confetti, and airbrushed gradients glowing against studio black.

The system is loud on purpose. High-saturation neon reads only against the near-black ground, chunky condensed display type echoes period leotard graphics, and squiggles, zigzags, and halftone dots scatter across every surface. Feel the burn.
