Yohji Grisaille

ProMax

Yohji Grisaille distills the "poet of black" — Yohji Yamamoto's draped, asymmetric, oversized tailoring of 1990–2010 — into a monochrome shadow system. The screen reads as a smoky near-black runway field, with charcoal-to-smoke grays standing in for folds of matte wool.

There is no warmth and no pure white. Every tone is a cool-neutral step in a single grisaille gradient, with vast negative space and spare editorial serif typesetting carrying the austere restraint of a Yohji lookbook.
