Vintage Cartography reimagines the decorative hand-engraved atlases of the 17th and 18th centuries — the era of Blaeu, Ortelius, and Mercator, when maps were simultaneously navigation tools and works of fine art. Every surface is aged parchment, every line is sepia copperplate engraving.
The aesthetic whispers "the world is enormous, beautiful, and not yet fully known." Compass roses anchor corners, cartouches frame titles in rolled ornament, and watercolor washes of ochre, olive, and dusty coral pool softly across territories. Typography is exclusively copperplate italic — never sans, never modern.
