Tibetan Mani Stone

Tibetan mani stones are flat river slate carved with the sunk-relief mantra *Om mani padme hum* in Uchen script, then stacked into low walls along pilgrimage routes. The background is chiseled away around each letter so the glyphs stand at the surface, their grooves holding faint weathered traces of symbolic pigment — white, red, and gold — against cool blue-gray stone.

This design system distills that devotional craft into a digital language: a dark slate ground, incised typographic relief, monochrome restraint, and pigment used only as the faintest accent — never bright, never warm.

玛尼石是藏传佛教信徒沿朝圣路线刻写的扁平河滩板岩。工匠以乌金体（Uchen）在 石面上凿出"唵嘛呢叭咪吽"六字真言，并将字母周围的底面剔除，使经文如浮雕般 立于表面，凹槽中残留着白、红、金等象征色颜料的风化痕迹，映衬着冷峻的蓝灰 色石质。

本设计系统将这一虔诚的石刻工艺转化为数字语言：冷暗的板岩底色、阴刻浮雕般的 字形、克制的单色调，以及仅作为最淡微痕迹出现的颜料色——永不明艳，永不偏暖。
